What the gardeners are up to

  • Consistently dead-heading roses to encourage further flowering, and foliar feeding with fish fertiliser to give them strength against black spot.
  • Staking and deadheading herbaceous perennials and Salvias.
  • Pruning out flowered growth of philidelphus and deutzias, to allow for new growth for next year's flowering.
  • As soon as the Renga lillies' flowers start to develop seeds, the flower stalks will be removed so the energy goes into the promotion of healthy foliage rather than seed-set.

Seniors will be able to access elevated viewing platforms at the three main stages. Thanks TSB Bank - we know the seniors really benefit from your support.

Zero waste
Zero Waste is a powerful concept that challenges old ways of thinking and inspires new attitudes and behaviour. It is a multi-faceted approach, integrating the four R's of waste minimisation (reduce, reuse, recycle and rethink), to conserve the Earth's limited resources.
